Crossing Cultures
During the pandemic, artists Renée Hilhorst, Roos du Pree and Yifan Yaing spent many hours playing Animal Crossing together. These hours changed the way they perceived objects such as pumpkins and oranges as these items now began to evoke feelings of connection and togetherness. Due to this they decided to make a series of still lifes which represented the feeling of connection they developed through playing Animal Crossing.
