Persona / Metafiction
While we socially interact on the internet, another personification of ourselves takes a form. Selfies and posted messages, carefully curated on the platforms we use, visualize a part of us where we are mostly proud of. A selected part of reality with the least amount of faults. Persona is an installation where old, shared selfies come to life, narrating a critical message regarding this phenomenon. The work is made using face-mapping software used by current social media applications.
Persona was shown at the Metafiction exhibition in Snorfabriek. The poster design for this exhibition was also made by Roos.
